| Theory of Magic Magic in Fallen Realm, is far less flashy then in other high fantasy roleplay's, but it is still a powerful force to behold. Magic was originally a power meant only for the gods. But that didn't stop rebellious spirits from teaching the races of the mortal realm these "secret arts". Magic in the modern day is uncommon, most magic users are only dabblers, having little access to this secret arcane knowledge. However there are those select few who spend their whole life studying and seeking ancient lore. These are the famous Sorcerers, Mystics & Clerics that everyone hears about. There are three types of magic... (Cleric) EXTERNAL: Powers granted to an individual from an otherworldly being such as a deity, celestial or abyssal demon. The abilities gained from worshiping these entities are typically viewed as unnatural.
(Sorcerer) INDIRECT: The most common source of magic used by mortals. Indirect magic has to be learned. Its a lengthy process to master its three schools. There is Alchemy which deals with the creation of magical potions, transmutation and enchanting via transferring powers from nature to other objects. The second school is Runicai, which deals with divine, celestial and abyssal runes, symbols & charms. Typically activated with blood. The rarer the blood the better. The third is Arcana, which deals with illusion, hypnosis and mastery over slight of hand.
(Mystic) INTERNAL: Magic of the mind, only those who master their own body can achieve these psychic powers. Typically achieved via prolonged and intense meditation.
