ROLEPLAY GUIDELINES
The following rules and policies are required knowledge for everyone who wishes to post in this forum. These rules apply universally to every roleplay post in every thread and violating them may subject you to Moderator action. Please read them carefully and understand them well before posting.

Read and Obey the Forum Rules
The forum rules apply to everyone posting in any board or forum. Moderators have the authority to enforce these rules and will take direct action against violators. Rule infractions should be reported to staff for appropriate action.

No One Line Replies
This is not meant to annoy you but to give the other person something to work with. There is no official post length requirement other then this. The exact length of your post during a role play is up to the game master.

No Anime Avatars/FC
Some people may love it, personally, I hate it and don't want any of it on my site. Your face claim and/or avatar can be literally anything but anime.

Stay In Character
If you have a question or disagreement with the participants of a your roleplay then post a comment on the Script and Plotting board. Don't add out of character comments to an in game thread. Remember every time you do that, the admins/moderators have to take the time to delete them all.

Romance Is Good
When it comes to gameplay, romance is encouraged. As it adds a unique dynamic to the roleplay. However try to keep the certain aspects of romance in the bedroom and out of the roleplay itself. We don't want in depth detail about how two lovers spent the night together.

(NPC): Non Player Characters
All non-player characters in any roleplay will be under the control of the Game Master, as well as anyone they specifically give permission to control them.

Originality Please
Be original when adding content to the forum. This means we don't want canons of anything not from our site. Stereotypes are fine but don't use that as an excuse to make a parallel of something someone else has already made.

Characters (No Limit)(No God-Modding)
Members are aloud to have have as many characters as they can handle. There is little to no limit on what your background and profession could be. As well as any playable race or class that is listed. However you can't be some sort of all powerful demigod  that is invincible and can never be defeated. All characters must have flaws and weaknesses. However each character needs its own separate account. This isn't meant to annoy you, but make it easier on staff to keep track of characters.
CHARACTER INTERACTIONS AND COMBAT
If you've never done this or any online roleplaying before, you may want to view the forums and examine how other writers are interacting with each other. It's fairly simple once you get the hang of it. Playing is done by writing your character's actions (In 3rd Person) and responding to what other characters are doing or the current situation. You can't write for other people or control their characters (that's called cheating, or autoing). Perma-death is possible, but The Game Master has the final say regarding the death of a character.

Combat is not the primary goal of writing here, its the creation of a story. So if your character is in a fight, it is in your best interest to do a few things:
[1] Do not assume your attacks on other characters or NPC will hit them.

[2] The Game Master has the final say on everything, respect that.

[3] Do not come up with new powers, weapons and items you need out of nowhere.

[4] Don't be vague about your powers/abilities and bend what's written in your profile to help you gain an advantage.

[5] Trying to be too powerful in general is called god-modding. Don't do it. Nobody will want to play with you and the staff will get on your case. The less powerful you are, the less of a godmodder you are and the easier it is for everyone involved. Remember not everyone can be a all powerful badass.

[6] Don't role your own dice, only the Game Master has the right to role dice and only they decide the outcome.

[7] Milk Your Posts For All Its Worth

Just to clarify, don't post the following...
"My character charges the goblin, then bashes its head into the ground with his club.
Instead, try and do something like this...
"Duran grips his club tight. Sweat slowly dripping down his dwarfish beard. With a fearless roar he charges the goblin from behind, club raised high. As he got closer he attempts to slow down and swing his club at the creature. Hoping to bash the goblins head into the ground.

REMEMBER
Fairness is always the best policy :v)
